The Central Bank of Bahrain has tasked Erwin Ereno Design Studio to come up with a proposal for its front gate and perimeter wall. Given the parameters and the importance of this feature as a part of larger whole EEDS has designed a facade that emanates both the character of CBB and their vision.

The perimeter facade focuses on the composition of light and shadow and how these two can meet when it touches its materials. The divisions create a consistent rhythm that angle inwards to create an interesting pattern while also revealing what’s behind. It is framed by a wall and canopy enhancing this effect with the use of shadow.

Mixed with the interplay of light and shadow and the subtle textures of the patterned perforated metal panels create an effortless display of detail and composition in design.
